Newquay Pre-school and Nursery 

Our setting is located off Mountwise near Newquay Football club, we are within close walking distance of the town centre and main bus stops.

Our setting is a well established registered non for profit charity which has been operating for the past 50 years offering affordable, quality childcare to parents and families in the local community and beyond.

We offer childcare for children aged 8 months to 5 years old within our four rooms, each set up to create a warm cosy environment for children to explore and discover activities and resources that are stimulating and engaging for their ages and stages of development.

We have wonderful outdoor areas for the children to explore, including a mud kitchen and water play area, undercover areas with large construction blocks, woodwork area and stage for the children to develop their imagination and creativity.

    Event Calendar

    We have a giant sandpit where the children can get their whole body involved with digging and plenty of space to work together and share their fun. We have a pirate ship and climbing structures for children to develop their core strength and balance and a little secret garden with a play house and resources that the children can self select.

    Our children have access to the local community as we take them on outings. We have an on site chef who creates a range of healthy meals and also healthy workshops where the children can experience lots of cooking whilst learning about healthy foods.

    For  Pre-school children we have experienced staff who support children gain skills to prepare them for their next steps in their learning, and we have a creative lead who focuses on providing children with opportunities  to develop their creative imagination and explore new experiences, creating opportunities for them to think critically and problem solve. 

    Our ethos is to provide all the children who come through our doors with a warm and caring home from home with staff who work together with parents to support children with their development and education giving them strong foundations in their learning journeys.

    Our setting is run by a board of Trustees who are made up from parents of children who attend the setting. They employ a manager to oversee the day to day running of the setting her name is Katie York. 

    We have a deputy manager Charmaine Murray who also oversees the care in daisy room. 

    Each of the rooms have a room lead, Sian Walker leads green room, Alayne Standinger leads blue room and Savanna Holms leads yellow room.
